Vadodara is very close to the World’s Tallest Statue, The Statue of Unity, making it a hot layover destination for tourists travelling to Statue of Unity. The ruins of Champaner is a world heritage site which attracts a lot of global tourists. The city is known for its historically important monuments and palaces such as Laxmi Vilas Palace and Makarpura Palace. Laxmi Vilas Palace is one of the biggest palaces, even bigger than Buckingham Palace.
